What a week!!
This week we received the results from two prestigious wine competitions, Mid-American Wine Competition and the Missouri Wine Competition, so I think it’s time we toot our own horn a little bit.
Monday we received the results from the Mid-American Wine Competition held annually in Ankeny, Iowa. We entered 8 wines this year and received 8 medals (not too shabby, right?); we won 3 gold medals, which includes 2 sweepstakes nomination for 20110 Estate-bottled Norton and 1855, 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medals. To see the full competition results visit www.midamericanwine.org.
Tuesday the Missouri Wine Competition announced their winners. We entered 22 of our wines and received 22 medals — Wow!! We received 2 gold medals, including a Best of Class Dry White for Dry Vignoles, 12 silver medals and 8 bronze medals. To see how your favorite wine fared visit www.missouriwine.org.
We are quite pleased with the results from these competitions and we need to give a big shout out to our winemaker, Michael Rouse, and his production team. They work hard all year and deserve a big round of applause. We are so proud that Michael and his team are passionate about Missouri wines and always put the quality of our wine on the top of their to do list.
So here’s to tooting our own horn, have a wonderful weekend and be sure to enjoy a glass, or more, of our award-winning wines!
