We are beginning our preparation for this weekend’s Berries & BarBQ Wine Trail as well as a great weekend of live music. We hope that mother nature will go easy on us by holding off the rain and humidity; we’ve been spoiled so far this summer but it sure would be nice to have another beautiful weekend. Fingers crossed.
So guess what Tim and his son, Parker are cooking up for the Wine Trail this weekend….. BBQ brisket sandwiches with smoked corn on the cob….YUM!!! The brisket will be thinly sliced, sauced with our homemade Berry Black BBQ sauce (recipe to follow next week) and piled high on a lightly toasted bun. As if the sandwich wasn’t enough, they are also house-smoking corn on the cob then dipping it in melted butter and seasoning with Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning. To wash all the tasty BBQ down we will be mixing up a batch or two of our Riefenstahler Sangria which is our Riefenstahler wine with lemon-lime soda and lots of fresh citrus (we’ll post the recipe next week). OK, I am officially hungry!!! So do you have your Wine Trail tickets already? If you do, great, we’ll see you this weekend, if not, you better HURRY!! Ticket sales ended yesterday (Wednesday) but I heard there may be a few more tickets out there if you call the Hermann Welcome Center, 573-486-2477.
So maybe you weren’t able to get ticket or maybe BBQ just isn’t your thing, that’s OK we still have fun stuff going on at Adam Puchta Winery.
Our great friends, Joe & Kristen (The Sins Country) are up from Nashville, TN to sing their own awesome, chart-topping songs. They’ll be playing Saturday and Sunday from Noon until 4 p.m. This husband and wife duo put on a great show and really interact with the crowd; we are sure you will love them just as much as we do.
As usual we’ll have our gift shop and tasting rooms open for sampling and we’ll also be selling cold wine by the bottle and by the glass, cold beer and even selling glasses of our Riefenstahler Sangria this weekend. We hope that you are able to come and celebrate summertime with us this weekend!
