Parker Puchta (Tim’s son, a 7th generation Puchta) and his crew have been hard at work the last several weeks laying and staking out our newest Norton vineyard. This new vineyard is on a steep bluff overlooking the Missouri River in the Hermann viticulture area. We chose this superior two acre site because it’s a good southern-faced slope with amazing micro-climates.

The crew has been sweating up a storm yesterday and today in the +90° heat, planting the 500+ Norton plants before the next rain.

We hope to start harvesting grapes from this vineyard in 3 to 5 years and will be likely used in our Estate-Bottled Norton. This new vineyard brings our total Norton vineyards to 6 acres.
