On June 11, 2023, Adam Puchta Winery hosted our first-ever Farm-to-Table dinner benefitting the Hermann Community Food Pantry and even though we had a bit of a wet start, it was a fantastic affair!

This inaugural event featured a three-course meal served family-style and prepared by our culinary team. We were delighted to feature meats, cheese, and produce sourced exclusively from local farmers, including Schneider Farms of Hermann, MO, Hemme Brothers of Sweet Springs, MO, and Avant Gardens, CSA, from New Haven, MO. Our farming partners were on hand to discuss their unique operations and the Hermann Community Food Pantry helped us serve a delicious meal to a full house. Our event tent provided the perfect setting for this family-style meal, providing cover from the weather and giving a comfortable, rustic feel to the event.

The Farm-to-Table meal started with delicious cheeses from Hemme Brothers Creamery on a charcuterie board as an appetizer followed by a Kale Pesto Ceaser Salad with four kinds of fresh kale from Avant Gardens. The second course was bountiful with smoked bone-in Cornish Cross chicken thighs topped with a garlic sorrel butter, roasted pork loin with a Vidal Blanc gastrique, roasted Adirondack Red and Peter Wilcox potatoes, sauteed fennel and chard, roasted red beets. Finishing out the meal was an exquisite smoked strawberry rhubarb crumble.

In total, we were able to raise $1,110 for the Hermann Community Food Pantry and we couldn’t be prouder to support such a worthwhile cause. Be on the lookout for this to become an annual event!
